Phenomenal coffee. As a coffee enthusiast—with thousands of dollars spent on my home coffee setup—I can confidently say these baristas are legit. Great espresso and flavored drinks. Great friendly atmosphere—almost like a daytime bar. Friendly staff who seem to love what they do. Ethan was super nice!

I’m not a big coffee drinker, at all! However, my best friend is! So, we came! How did I like it?? Hmmm🤔🤔….enough said through the before and after pics! Hands down, 5 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I've only gotten the Great Pumpkin from here, but it's so good I've gotten it every time I've come. The espresso is pretty solid (no burnt, bitter or underdeveloped tastes). And the proportions of espresso and milk are spot on for my tastes (favoring a slightly stronger coffee flavor rather than milky flavor). Their latte flavors/syrups are subtle but strong enough to leave you wanting more. As a bonus, the space is fresh and breathable, with plenty of comfortable seating. Highly recommend!

Gavin and Sam are awesome baristas! Super friendly and eager to make your coffee just right! We were traveling through Birmingham and decided to try a local favorite. The homemade sauces/flavors always draw us in. They did not disappoint! We had perfect pumpkin spice lattes! Great coffee!

All around great experience! Visited Birmingham for a weekend and lucked out that it was Whammy’s opening weekend too. Scones were out of this world. Maple sea salt cappuccino might be my new favorite drink. And they had such a fun and welcoming environment. Cant wait to be back!

Whammy is the most delightful coffee shop in Alabama!!!! Walking in being greeted by the owners with a warm smile, I knew this would be my new regular spot. I’ve already got the gold rush latte twice since they opened and it’s SOOOOO delicious. The espresso scone was divine as well. The vibe is so fun! Friendly people, great music, sunshine, fun decor, and great seating. I’m obsessed! It’s a safe place for all! 💚

If you’re in search of a top-notch coffee shop, this place is a must. Conveniently located right off the interstate, it’s easy to get to—and the coffee is outstanding. We love trying local spots, but it’s rare to find one that nails both flavor and quality without being overly sugary. This shop strikes the perfect balance with great beans and a smooth blend. We loved it so much we had to buy a bag of their whole bean blend to take home. Definitely a go-to spot.

Whammy is a locally owned coffee company. They’ve upgraded the atmosphere and the dining area, with seating that can adjust to your needs and a fun aesthetic. The service was quick and kind. The espresso drinks are quality and the specialty drinks are really yummy. I suggest this place for a coffee, breakfast, meeting with a friend, and their bar would be perfect for a prolonged study session.

I missed the opportunity to come with the Yelp Elites, so I definitely wanted to check it out and give them my review either way. The location appeared to be in a strange place for a coffee shop. It’s in the middle of what appears to be an industrial park. However, there were lots of people inside when we arrived on Saturday morning about 9:30. There is an outdoor patio with tables and umbrellas for anyone that loves the steamy southern heat. Inside, the huge windows provide an abundance of natural light, which I love. As someone who also loves photography, it provides some great lighting and reflections. The menu is on the short side, but they do have a variety of options of drinks, along with a few select pastries. I opted for the basic drip coffee, which had great flavor and was smooth, like I like it. My son got the latte and enjoyed it as well. When Ethan brought our order to the table, I was surprised to see the drinks in actual mugs, rather than disposable cups. They were also smaller mugs, which was disappointing. However, Ethan turned my disappointment into surprise and delight when he said we had free refills! I don’t know if this is their usual rule or he offered free refills due to the brief delay in getting our order. The crowd was mixed on this Saturday morning. I saw young individuals studying, a young family with their baby, an older couple enjoying conversation, and everything in between. The restrooms are down a hallway in back. They’re very nice and clean. Ethan told me that they share the restrooms with four other businesses in the building. I love the open space , the lighting, the friendly staff and the delicious coffee here. I definitely want to come back at nighttime and see what it looks like with the indoor lighting!
